Burnt Island Lighthouse
The Boothbay region is a veritable tapestry of ecological variety. In Boothbay Harbor, you’ll find Maine’s iconic rocky coastline and sweeping ocean views (along with many shopping and dining options); inland, the iconic, towering pines and lush forests take over, and the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens only add to the natural wonders of the region.

If you find yourself planning a vacation in this beautiful area, consider booking lodging at a nearby campground. It’s a great way to further enjoy nature’s abundance while saving a fair amount on lodging expenses at the same time.

There are plenty of campgrounds and RV parks to choose from between Boothbay and the neighboring communities; distances from Boothbay are noted in each listing.

Offering 11 back-in or pull-through camper and RV sites with full hookups, this diminutive RV resort also features free WiFi, a beer garden, a bocce court, cornhole, and a bathhouse.

Oh, and both the craft-brewed beer and farm-to-table food are fantastic, too.

Or, if you prefer sturdier accommodations, there are also four adorable cabins available to rent, each offering different levels of comfort and amenities (note that, while the rest of the campground is pet-friendly, only one of the cabins permits fur babies).

There is an on-site store, and campers are treated to weekly live music from local performers.

Kids will enjoy the playground, and the whole family will find plenty to do right on-site, whether it be swimming or fishing in the on-site pond and tidal marsh, or a rousing round of horseshoes.
