Camden, Maine, has an abundance of eateries, shops, museums, and lodging in town, perfect for travelers that prefer a low-key, low-energy-output kind of vacation. But for those that enjoy a higher level of activity during their hard-earned downtime, there are other options nearby, including hiking, watersports, golfing…and disc golf.
Similar to standard golf only in terminology, players shoot plastic, frisbee-like discs toward raised baskets rather than using clubs and golf balls. And while, unfortunately, there aren’t any disc golf courses in Camden proper, have no fear: You can find plenty of worthwhile places within a reasonable drive—commute times from the center of Camden are noted in the address fields below each course.
