Aromatic candles at an Augusta, ME spa
Everybody needs a bit of pampering once in a while (some of us, more often than others).

To some, this could mean a mental health day from work and bingeing Netflix while wearing pajamas and eating pizza. But to others (ahem…me), pampering myself involves a little monetary investment—namely, some serious time at a day spa.

And, sure—my idea of the perfect spa day involves some sort of massage therapy. But yours may be a manicure, facial, or other treatment.

If you live in Augusta or will be spending time in the area, perhaps set aside a few hours for yourself and book an appointment (or two) at one of these fine establishments below.

Margo & Company Salon

While Margo & Company has no massage services, there are still plenty of pampering treatments available to soothe your stressed-out soul here. How about a deep conditioning treatment for your hair, followed up by a full makeup application and lash tinting?

Or maybe you’d prefer a spa pedicure, complete with leg and foot massage, as well as one of those magical Shiatsu chair massages? You’ll also find plenty of other offerings like permanent makeup, a full-service hair salon, lash lifting, body waxing and sugaring, and even ear candling.

Green with Envy Salon & Spa

This full-service hair salon is also a fantastic option for spa manicures, pedicures, Novalash extensions, makeup applications, facials, and body waxing.

With three other locations in Maine (Camden, Rockland, and Belfast), each salon offers a different slate of services, and while body massage is not currently available in Augusta, you can hop in the car and head to one of the other spots if that’s your jam.

But whichever treatment you end up going with, I suggest adding on the Scalp and Hair Therapy option: Warm coconut oil gently massaged into your scalp, hair, and neck. It’s relaxing, conditioning, and…simply divine.
