Christmas Vacation Shop
I don’t know about you, but when I hear the name of this shop, a certain holiday movie immediately comes to mind…but this festive, year-round shop has nothing to do with Chevy Chase.
The owner of the Christmas Vacation Shop creates many of the ornaments and décor in this store by hand; much of her handiwork is in direct response to her customers’ requests for particular Bar Harbor-related ornaments and other items.
You’ll find the gifts here labeled specifically for where they were handcrafted—all being either in the shop (literally right before your eyes, in many cases), in Maine, or in the U.S.A.

Sea Dawg Gift Shop
If you’re looking to evoke a giggle or an outright guffaw with a gift, Sea Dawg can accommodate.
You’ll find t-shirts, signs, mugs, stickers, greeting cards, and more with sharp-witted or goofy sentiments, alongside more sedate things like candles, handbags, ornaments, jewelry, and apparel.

Ben & Bill’s Chocolate Emporium
If you’ve read any of my other write-ups about gift shops in Maine, you know by now that I am of the firm belief that giving the gift of chocolate is always the right choice.
This family-run shop has been hand-making their delectable fudge, chocolates, and candies since 1988 in Bar Harbor—and they have ice cream, too! Oh, and if you have a long way to travel home, no worries—because Ben & Bill’s can ship your edible gifts.
