a hotel in Ogunquit Easily the most inclusive town in Maine, the colorful, coastal town of Ogunquit has become a welcoming haven for everyone.

The center of town is lined with shops, bistros, bars, galleries, and myriad accommodations, ranging from quaint bed and breakfasts to sprawling resorts. If you stay near this hub of activity, then there’s no need to get back in your car once you’ve parked it.

But if you choose a spot further along Route 1, rely on the trolley to get around. Either way, there are more than enough options when considering where to stay in Ogunquit.

The Colonial Inn

The Colonial is a bright and cheerful hotel perched between the Marginal Way and Shore Road, just a hop, skip, and jump from the center of town.

While featuring plenty of modern updates and a warm, seaside vibe, The Colonial retains much of its historic, architectural aesthetic.

This seasonal gem has been providing guests with its signature brand of Maine hospitality since 1890, and the property includes the main inn, two motel-style buildings, and a whole-house rental.

Amenities include a pool and hot tub, lawn games, a fire pit, a shuffleboard court, a complimentary continental breakfast, and a full-service bar.

This establishment offers three separate buildings with different accommodations in each, ranging from jacuzzi or fireplace rooms to a motel-style option that includes some dog-friendly rooms.

There are both family-friendly and adults-only pools and hot tubs, as well as an on-site spa, laundry facility, sauna, gym, fire pit, and patio bar.

Beachmere Inn

The Marginal Way meanders right past the Beachmere’s front lawn…and that’s all that will be between you and the Atlantic Ocean.

The Beachmere has accommodations to suit every situation.

Nellie Littlefield Inn and Spa

This delightful, Victorian bed and breakfast is just outside the hustle and bustle of the town center but feels a world away.

With only 8 rooms, you’ll have this little oasis of calm practically to yourself—complete with hot-and-cold jetted pools, a gym, and a steam sauna.

Oh—and there’s the breakfast: Carefully curated, delicious baskets of love.

Pick yours up in the morning, and prepare to be wowed: A veritable cornucopia of revolving daily options, like fruit, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, breakfast sandwiches, muffins, pastries…and the basket contents are changed up every day, for variety.

The Aspinquid also features beautiful ocean views—although not beachfront—and the nearby Seacastles Resort, located near the beginning of the Marginal Way, also offers an indoor pool, jacuzzi, and an outdoor pool.
