Since 1952, the family-owned-and-operated Whispering Sands has proudly claimed to be “the largest and best gift shop in York Beach.”

Aiming to “support artists and educate the public about the Native American community,” the Little Bull Native American Trading Post and Art Gallery is home to a diverse curation of authentic items crafted both locally and in the Southwest.
Artwork, pottery, and traditional Native American drums are just a sampling of the exquisitely crafted gifts you’ll find at this unique shop.

Made up of three distinctly different shops (Forever Christmas, Backyard Bird & Garden, and Bell Farm Gift & Home), you may find Bell Farm Shops to be the only stop you need to make on your quest for the perfect gift.
The Gift & Home shop has a little of everything—accessories, clothing, home décor, specialty foods, and much more—and technically, you’d probably find what you want there…but the other shops are so darned cute, you just have to check them out.

This “small mall of women-owned unique shops” is open all year, and is located in a repurposed barn, offering over 5,000 square feet of shopping joy.

No visit to York, Maine is complete without a visit to the seasonal Goldenrod candy shop.
This venerable icon has stood right where it is today since 1896, selling homemade taffy, chocolates, and candy as fast as it can be churned out to the myriad tourists gawking outside the plate glass windows.
