Every vacation destination has its own signature vibe…and the vibe at Old Orchard Beach is one of pure, unadulterated fun and frivolity. With plenty of recreational activities—be they of an aquatic, amusement park, or libation persuasion—OOB draws visitors by the thousands every year.
Its population increases nearly eight-fold every summer—so it’s a good thing this seaside resort town has myriad dining options to offer, with a wide range of prices and menu items to please even the most frugal budget and pickiest palate.
Map of Restaurants in Old Orchard Beach
This handy map of the Old Orchard Beach restaurants in this article will making finding your next meal a snap:
The Local Eatery & Tap
Sit at the gleaming bar, at one of the adorable bistro tables, or take your food home—no matter where you eat it, you’re going to be happy.
The menu at The Local Eatery is the perfect marriage of comfort food-meets-elevated pub fare, like the Chicken Pesto sub: Grilled chicken drizzled with creamy pesto and melted provolone cheese, topped with all the veggies you could want.

Joseph’s by the Sea
Since 1968, this seasonal, oceanfront favorite has been changing with the times to meet the needs of their growing customer base.
Over the years, the owners have expanded the dining room, added a rooftop deck, and a new waterfront patio will be unveiled in 2022. The dinner menu features creatively-tweaked traditional New England coastal and comfort fare, all using as many local ingredients as possible.
And, because you’re in Maine, why not give the Lobster and Scallop Sauté (with tomatoes, spinach, leeks, and roasted garlic cream sauce over pasta) a try?
Location: 55 W Grand Ave, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

Duffy’s Tavern & Grill OOB
Duffy’s is kind of like the Old Orchard version of Cheers—it’s where the locals go, but everyone’s welcome.
Serving “American comfort food for all ages,” Duffy’s features a comfortable, open dining room as well as a bar area with multiple HDTVs for sports.
With a hearty list of salads, appetizers, soups, sandwiches, pizza, and entrees on offer (get the house Macaroni & Cheese with Lobster—trust me, you’ll be glad you did), there are plenty of options.
And be sure to leave room for a slice of Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie!
Location: 168 Saco Ave, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

Bua Thai
The fare at Bua Thai—stir-fried entrees, house specialties, curries, and noodle dishes—is made to order and uses no MSG.
Gluten-free options are available, and there is a cozy, exotic dining room in which to enjoy your meal; take-out is also an option.
The Kai Pad Krapow is especially tasty: Stir-fried ground chicken, basil, green beans, carrots, green and red peppers, and onions.
Location: 194 Saco Ave, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

Rumorz Bistro
Bright and cheerful, Rumorz is everything a bistro should be (complete with ruffled plaid valences).
Open all year and located at the Grand Beach Inn Resort, this cute little eatery sometimes features live music and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
In-season, there is patio dining—as well as cozy seating around the fire pit; comfort food always tastes better when snuggled around an open fire.
I recommend the Harmon’s Clam Cakes basket—and opt for the tater tots instead of fries for a real pub experience.
Location: 198 E Grand Ave, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

The Brunswick
The Brunswick—or “The Swick” to locals—is open year-round, offering live music, a lounge, and a full pub menu.
With 22 HDTVs and one of OOB’s only beachfront patio bars, The Swick is a popular place, indeed, no matter what time of year it is, and the classic comfort food on offer is sure to satiate even the worst case of hangry (the House Special Nachos are loaded and the serving is more than enough for two).
Location: 39 W Grand Ave, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

Taqueria 207
Fresh, authentic, and flavorful, the food at the family-owned Taqueria 207 is “made with love and care.”
The menu is full of made-to-order Mexican classics like all manner of tacos, enormous burritos, quesadillas, and bowls, all using only the freshest ingredients.
You can’t go wrong no matter what you order here, but for a flavor sensation, I suggest getting the Carne Asada Tacos, and finishing off with the Tres Leches Cake (moist, vanilla sponge cake soaked in a blend of evaporated milk, cream, and sweetened condensed milk, topped with whipped cream and a caramel drizzle).
Location: 2 Ocean Park Rd, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

Strike Zone Restaurant & Pub
Another fantastic spot to head to if you’re looking for a sports bar vibe, The Strike Zone features plenty of seating at the bar and a comfortable dining area—all in view of the many HDTVs for that all-important sports game.
Family-owned and -operated since 2007, The Strike Zone offers a traditional American menu of mouth-watering pub fare like pizza, burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, as well as seafood/landlubber entrees like Grilled Sirloin Tips or the Fried Haddock Platter.
Location: 20 Old Orchard St, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

Jumpin’ Jake’s Seafood Café
For fresh seafood in Old Orchard Beach—especially lobster rolls—you can’t beat Jumpin’ Jake’s for quality and price.
More or less a glorified seafood shack, there is some indoor seating, but most folks choose to take their meal outside on the patio to enjoy at this seasonal favorite.
For an authentic Maine meal, start with an order of local steamed clams, then move on to one of Jumpin’ Jake’s signature lobster rolls—grilled roll, light on the mayo, of course!
Location: 181 Saco Ave, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

Myst Oceanside Restaurant & Lounge
Popular for their frozen watermelon margaritas and zesty fish tacos, Myst is open May-September, offering a family-friendly menu chock-full of classic pub fare.
Start with a hearty appetizer (try the calamari), and then move on to either a fresh salad plus your protein topper of choice, an entrée (I recommend the Fish & Chips), or a sandwich.
Location: 1 E Grand Ave, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

Surf 6
Surf 6 offers a win-win (-win-win-win) seaside dining experience: Amazing ocean views, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, live music, a super-cool bar (made from the bow of a real lobster boat)…and of course, delicious, affordable food.
The menu at Surf 6 is quite seafood-centric (their Blackened Haddock Tacos are the stuff cravings are made of), but there are landlubber options, as well.
Oh, and their cocktails are also noteworthy—especially the Pirate Punch Rum Bucket (Malibu coconut, pineapple, and mango rums, pineapple and orange juice, with a grenadine float).
Location: 2 Cortland Ave, Old Orchard Beach, ME 04064

Out of time, out of space—and I have by no means covered every restaurant in Old Orchard Beach…so please be sure to consider the following fine eateries, as well.
Tami Lyn’s Place is a great little market/sandwich/breakfast shop with a few dine-in tables; the Pirates Patio & Galley has great breakfast, lunch, and dinner…and a fantastic happy hour, as well.
The Bell Buoy Restaurant is another great seafood stand; and if you’re in the mood for fresh and authentic Vietnamese cuisine, head to Pho OOB.
