pizza in an oven at a restaurant in westbrook maine If you’re a pizza fanatic and plan on spending any time in the fast-growing (actually, the fastest-growing, population-wise) city of Westbrook, you chose the right place to hang out.

The city, which is enjoying an ongoing revitalization, is home to many fantastic restaurants, and it just so happens that a sizeable portion of said eateries serve pizza.

Whether you’re looking for a take-out pie to enjoy in your stretchy pants in front of the TV, or prefer a leisurely dine-in pizza-and-cocktails experience, Westbrook has you covered.

Map Of Westbrook Pizza Restaurants

The map below shows the locations of every restaurant mentioned in this post:

Westbrook House of Pizza

Every town worth its salt has a house of pizza—and Westbrook is no exception. Featuring a classic, pizza-joint dining area, take-out, and delivery, WHOP has a large, traditional menu full of pizza, pasta, salads, and subs, all made to order.

The dough and sauce for the pizza are both made fresh in-house every day, and pies come in small (10”) and large (16”). Whether you want to choose from the list of 27 toppings or opt for one of the 12 Gourmet Pizzas, you won’t be disappointed with your selection.

My favorite is the Loaded Steak Pizza: Lean shaved steak, onions, peppers, mushrooms, pizza sauce, and house cheese blend.

Location: 1 Westbrook Common Suite 4, Westbrook, ME 04092

Casa Novello

Whether you opt to put your favorite toppings on a hand-tossed 12” crust or have them folded inside a calzone, you can expect the results will be fabulous either way.

Casa Novello offers 9 proteins, 3 cheeses, 11 vegetables, and 4 sauces to choose from when concocting your pizza creation—and if you’re overwhelmed with the selection, just ask one of the friendly servers for some suggestions.

There are also vegan and gluten-free crust options for pizzas, and a kid’s menu is available. And, if you have any non-pizza peeps in your party, the menu at Casa Novello has plenty of other options to choose from.

Location: 694 Main St, Westbrook, ME 04092

Profenno’s Pizzeria & Pub

Serving delicious pizza and pub fare since 1962, Profenno’s is a popular fixture in Westbrook. Offering three crust sizes (10”, 14”, and 16”), 27 topping options, and 9 specialty pies, this spot is a pizza lover’s dream.

But for folks that prefer other fare, the pizza at Profenno’s is just the tip of the garlic bread, and they can peruse the huge, Italian-fare-laden menu for other options.

Me? I’ll have the Shrimp Scampi Pie, please (garlic, herbs, olive oil, mozzarella, Maine shrimp, fresh tomato).

Pizza Time Westbrook

IMHO, if you’re craving pizza, it’s best to head to a spot that actually has the word “pizza” in its name. Looking at you, Pizza Time! This family-owned business has been around for over 31 years, and customers rave about not only the pizza, but all of the fare, the friendly service, the dining space, and the affordable prices.

Order a small (10”), medium (12”), or large (14”) crust—a 10” gluten-free crust is also available—and then select from 23 toppings to build your own pie; there are also 11 specialty pizzas on offer. I recommend ordering the Mexican, with spicy salsa, onions, green peppers, ground hamburger, black olives, and jalapeños.

Kozeta’s

Using only fresh, house-made dough (hand-stretched for every pizza), Kozeta’s features a dining room and bar, take-out, and delivery service. The expansive menu—which includes far more than pizza—includes a build-your-own-pie section, or you can choose from 18 specialty pizzas.

For a real dance party for your taste buds, give the Blue Cheese Pizza a try: Blue cheese sauce, cheese, spinach, onion, and bacon. Or, if you happen to be at Kozeta’s when they first open (or anytime, for that matter), opt for the Breakfast Pizza, with butter sauce, scrambled eggs, onion, sausage, or bacon.

Location: 597 Bridgton Rd, Westbrook, ME 04092

Angelone’s West

“Maine’s First Name in Pizza,” Angelone’s opened in Portland in 1947—and many of Westbrook’s residents were ecstatic to learn that this old-school eatery was coming to their city. Angelone’s accepts only cash, and the menu is spare and small—but trust me, you’ll have no complaints after eating one of these pies.

Three sizes (9”, 12”, and 15”), 16 toppings, and a thick crust option—those are the choices you’ll need to make when placing an order at Angelone’s. No specialty pies, no fancy sauces—just fresh, hot, delicious pizza.

Location: 768 Main St, Westbrook, ME 04092

Corsetti’s

Corsetti’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and offers take-out and dine-in for their menus—and they also have an amazing bakery, if you still have room for dessert.

The pizza here comes in 10” and 16”, and there are 22 toppings to choose from, as well as 9 specialty pies (try the Mashed Potato and Bacon). Corsetti’s also has an adjoining sister property, Brookside Food and Drink, which features a full bar and an outdoor patio.

Location: 125 Bridgton Rd, Westbrook, ME 04092

Time Out Sports Pub

For fabulous, hand-tossed pizza, a few ice-cold brews, and the game on TV, Time Out Sports Pub is an affordable, casual night out.

Choose from 14 fresh toppings, or select one of four specialty pizzas, such as my choice, The Buffalo, topped with a buffalo-blue cheese sauce and grilled chicken. There are also plenty of other pub-fare options to choose from—and of course, lots of beer on tap.

Location: 10 Cumberland St, Westbrook, ME 04092

Severino’s Variety

Offering take-out only, Severino’s is a great option for those rushed nights when nobody has time to cook, or when the kids are having friends over and they’re all picky…because everyone loves pizza, right?

No bells or whistles here—just two sizes (10” or 14”), a dozen topping options, and…well, that’s it. Order a few custom-topped pizzas—and watch the smiles spread when you walk in the door at home.

Portland Pie Company

With eight locations in Maine, Portland Pie is always a delicious, reliable option for fabulously fresh and local pizza.

But if you aren’t a fan of making decisions, perhaps PPC isn’t for you—because you will have several to make before even deciding on which toppings you want.

For example, which size (10”, 14” thin crust, or 16”)? Which flavor crust (basil, beer, garlic, wheat, gluten-free, or cauliflower)? Which cheese (3-cheese blend, mozzarella, or vegan)? Then it’s on to the toppings, of which there are 33.

My solution? Opt for one of the 18 specialty pies—namely, the Bradbury Mountain: Olive oil and garlic, 3-cheese blend, portobello, cremini, and button mushrooms, topped with arugula, goat cheese, and balsamic reduction.

The Frog & Turtle

This cozy little downtown tavern features live entertainment and a pub-fare menu—the oven-baked flatbreads come in 10” and 16” and are a taste sensation.

Choose from five signature pies or build your own by selecting 3 toppings and either house-made red sauce or pesto. If you’ve got a serious case of the hangries (and have a few Tums hanging around), I recommend The Tsunami: BBQ-Ninja sauce, bacon, chicken, roasted garlic, spinach, blue cheese, and cheddar cheese.

Location: 3 Vallee Square (formerly Bridge St), Westbrook, ME 04092

Stockhouse Restaurant & Sports

An affordable pub fare menu, friendly service, 20+ flat-screen TVs, and pizza…what more could you ask for?

There are five signature pizzas to choose from—I suggest trying the Sweet Chili Chicken & Pineapple (chili sauce, mozzarella, chicken, pineapple, and green peppers, topped with a drizzle of sweet & spicy ranch). Or, put a bit more effort into it and create your own pizza by choosing from 15 toppings.
